During the 1930s, Buick competed head-on with Packard, and by 1938, Buick president Harlow "Red" Curtice even had fellow GM division Cadillac in his sights. The Roadmaster was key to this strategy, introduced in 1936 and applied to Buick's top models through 1957. Modern restyling of Buick models for 1941 and 1942 was performed by Harley Earl's famous GM Styling studios and further enhanced for 1948. This design language was especially attractive on Buick's low-production, top-of-the-line Roadmaster line through 1948. These very fine cars are sought-after by today's collectors for their great looks, 8-cylinder power, relative rarity and outstanding drivability.

This 1948 Buick Roadmaster Convertible Coupe is an outstanding example from the last model year for the winning 1942-48 body design. Handsomely finished in 2-tone Cumulus Gray and Sunmist Gray, it is accented by the Gray cloth interior with striking Blue pinstripe accents. Power is delivered by Buick's renowned inline 8-cylinder "Fireball Dynaflash" engine, factory-rated at 150 HP, matched with a rare optional Buick "Dynaflow" automatic transmission. Other highlights include a period-correct Fulton Sunshield, bumper guards, a Buick 'Sonomatic' AM radio, headlamp covers, and a tissue dispenser. The engine, engine compartment, and the rest of the Roadmaster are highly detailed and the mechanicals are freshly serviced. Additional attention to detail includes the replacement of the brake master cylinder, inspection of the wheel cylinders (all good w/ no leaks observed), and the replacement of the torque tube seal and the inner and outer rear axle seals.

Ready to collect and show, this 1948 Buick Roadmaster was formerly part of a noted collection celebrating the world's automotive design and engineering landmarks. Unlike many other more common postwar classics, this Roadmaster offers an outstanding driving experience with the capability of cruising effortlessly at highway speeds while providing comfort and space for family and friends. Design was led by Wayne Kady and dates to 1989, with exclusive production at GM's Arlington, Texas assembly plant. While GM's Chevrolet-derived 5.7-liter (350 CI) V-8 engine was utilized throughout production, 1994-96 models benefited from a 260 HP development of the Chevrolet's LT1 fuel-injected engine utilizing durable iron cylinder heads, a high-torque camshaft, and intake silencers. Fuel economy was excellent, rated 25 MPG on the highway. From 1994 to 1996, the electronically-controlled 4L60E automatic transmission was used. Renowned for their standard simulated woodgrain bodyside trim, roominess, and generous passenger/cargo capacity, choice examples of these modern icons enjoy high demand today.

Attractively finished in White without the usual woodgrain bodyside accents over Tan leather upholstery, this final-year 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon is a wonderfully well-maintained and presented example, with Californian ownership from new to May 2026, only two owners, and just 31,500 miles. Mileage, ownership, and service history are all duly documented by the clean Carfax report that accompanies this prime-quality Roadmaster Estate Wagon.

Powered by the most desirable LT1-derived 260 HP 350 CI V-8 engine in concert with a GM 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission and highway-friendly 2.56 rear end and HD suspension option, this Roadmaster Estate Wagon is highly equipped with power features and amenities. Among them are air conditioning (R134a type), plus a factory ETR AM/FM cassette stereo, cruise control, and power brakes, steering, door locks, and windows. Other choice features and options include a moonroof, roof racks, factory dual exhaust, ABS power front disc/rear drum brakes, and the iconic rear-facing 3rd-row folding seat that is pure Americana.

If you are looking for a high-specification, full-size station wagon with outstanding appearance and condition, limited ownership, California roots, and exceptionally low mileage, this late-production 1995 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon is an excellent modern classic choice! Continuing the basic styling theme introduced for 1971 but updated by 1975 with bold blade-type front fenders, quad rectangular headlamps, and other revisions, the 1975-78 Eldorado was a huge sales success and stands as a landmark GM design.

As tightening government regulations threatened the existence of the beloved convertible in North America, the 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado is probably best remembered as the last American production car to be offered with a convertible body style during the 1970s. When the final Eldorado Convertible rolled off the production line on April 21, 1976, most industry observers believed there would likely never again be another American production convertible. Advertised for 1976 as the "only convertible built in America," the Cadillac Eldorado was sold as a legend-to-be and a future collectible.

Based upon a commanding 126.3-inch wheelbase chassis, the Fleetwood Eldorado exemplified wealth and style like no other automobile of the era. Befitting its top-of-the-line stature, the Eldorado's mechanical specifications were quite sophisticated to match, including the last use of Cadillac?s proprietary 500 cubic-inch V-8 engine, plus front-wheel drive (introduced for 1967), four-wheel disc brakes, and optional Bendix electronic fuel injection. Priced from $11,049 when new, the 1976 Eldorado Convertible was popular and truly marked the end of an era.

Another carefully selected classic car from The Last Detail, this 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible has accumulated just 32k Actual miles at the time of writing. Finished in Phoenician Ivory with a White power-operated convertible top, this "end of the line" 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible is accented by a factory Light Ivory and Gold leather interior. In addition to its high-torque 500 CI Cadillac V-8 engine and Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed automatic transmission, this Eldorado is very well equipped with options and amenities, including power brakes and steering, air conditioning, an AM/FM 8-Track radio, cruise control, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, and power door locks, a power front seat, and power windows. White sidewall tires and full Cadillac-scripted wheel covers complete this fabulous 1976 Eldorado Convertible.

Offered with low mileage and handsomely presented, this 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible exemplifies the unique approach to class-leading luxury and prestige offered by Cadillac in the 1970s. Be sure to call us today to experience it for yourself and add it to your collection in time for top-down spring and summer enjoyment.

Cadillac's engineering prowess also reached a high-water mark with the company's V-8 models joined by the V-16 for 1930 and the V-12 for 1931. In fact, no other automaker on either side of the Atlantic could lay claim to offering a full range of V-8, V-12, and V-16 model lines all at once. In 1931, while the nation was deep in the throes of the widening Great Depression and sales of luxury cars were in freefall, Cadillac forged ahead in its quest to dominate the U.S. luxury car market, and the new V-12 line was a key factor in the plan.

Renowned as one of the smoothest-running and silent engines ever produced, the Cadillac V-12 chassis was available in 140- and 143-inch wheelbase lengths. Internally designated Series 370-A, Cadillac's V-12 line was introduced in September 1930, priced from $3,795 during the inaugural 1931 model year. A wide range of 10 body styles was catalogued from GM's Fisher and Fleetwood body divisions, supplemented by a vast array of custom bodies from external firms. Fleetwood's renowned craftsmen fitted the interiors for all V-12 models.

This dashing 1931 Cadillac Model 370-A V-12 Five-Passenger Phaeton is a wonderfully restored and well-preserved example throughout. One of just 128 examples produced with Style No. 4760 coachwork by Fleetwood was part of the renowned classic car collection of Dr. Barbara Mae Atwood for many years until her cars were dispersed in early 2009. Most recently, it was under the care of the noted Bill and Patty Spurling Collection.

Riding a commanding 140-inch wheelbase chassis, this Series 370-A V-12 Five-Passenger Phaeton carries a decidedly sporting presence with its outstandingly proportioned open body accentuated by a "Jazz Age" Orange paint finish with Brown fenders, and Dark Brown cloth convertible top with Light Brown piping. The renowned 368 cubic-inch Cadillac V-12 engine is exceptionally well detailed and features Black porcelain and polished components, a signature Cadillac feature of the era. A synchromesh 3-speed manual transmission delivers the V-12 powerplant's power and abundant torque output.

In addition to the captivating dual-cowl Phaeton bodywork, highlights include the aircraft-style folding rear windshield, which folds and lowers into the rear passenger compartment. Period accessories are many, ranging from the Pilot-Ray accessory lights, which swivel with a link to the steering gear, plus a chrome radiator grille guard, Cadillac's Art Deco "Goddess" radiator mascot, and front-fender lights. Twin side-mounted spare tires in steel carriers grace each side of the Cadillac's long hood and include engraved chrome side view mirrors. Moving rearwards, accessories include cowl lights and wind wings on each side. To the rear, an access panel, a folding luggage rack, a trunk, and twin taillights are present. Period-style Whitewall tires surround Brown-painted wire-spoke wheels matching the finish on the fenders.

The spacious passenger compartment is trimmed in Tan leather upholstery with Light Brown carpeting and includes convenient storage pockets inside each door panel. The visually striking engine-turned dashboard houses useful instrumentation, housed within a central oval-shaped bezel. The rear passenger compartment includes twin folding footrests and courtesy lighting. In addition to the cloth convertible top, weather gear includes a complete set of side curtains, housed within a storage pouch. A toolkit is also present. A former AACA and CCCA award winner, this first-year Cadillac Series 370-A V-12 Five-Passenger Phaeton is, of course, eligible for a multitude of classic tours, shows, and concours events, benefiting from a fresh inspection, service, and detailing. A copy of the factory vehicle invoice is also included. Spring is here, with many summer classic-car events soon to come. A comprehensive refinement of "America's Sports Car", the C5 featured a new chassis and a milestone evolution of Chevrolet's small-block V-8 engine. The design team, led by Dave Hill and John Cafaro, systematically addressed every shortcoming of the fourth-generation Corvette and improved, if not eliminated, all of them in the C5.

Engines have always defined Corvettes, but perhaps no engine has so comprehensively defined the car's evolution as the 1997 LS1. Its similarity with the original Corvette small block began and ended with its basic layout. The new aluminum engine featured an integral cast aluminum oil pan, composite intake manifold, individual-coil ignition system, and a hollow camshaft design. Delivering 345 factory-rated horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, the LS1 was a more than worthy successor to the previous design.

The C5 chassis featured a noticeably longer wheelbase length and hydroformed side rails that improved rigidity and reduced weight. Corvette engineers worked with GM's Hydra-Matic division and Borg-Warner to create rear transaxles with four speeds in the electronically managed automatic and six speeds in the manual gearbox, providing an ideal 50/50 weight distribution.

Handsomely finished in Sebring Silver Metallic over Gray leather, this outstanding 1997 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is offered with just 19,051 miles at the time of listing. The clean Carfax vehicle-history report lists just two prior owners, with the first owning the car for 5 years and covering approximately 13,500 miles, followed by the second owner, who only added approximately 5,500 miles from their acquisition in 2002.

Sold new for $40,474 when new, this collector-grade 1997 Corvette Coupe features the aforementioned 4-speed electronically-controlled automatic rear transaxle and a limited slip differential housing a highway-friendly 2,73:1 rear-axle ratio. Desirable factory options are numerous, including the RPO 1SA Preferred Equipment Group, a no-cost option, plus Code AQ9 Adjustable Sport Bucket Seats ($625), the Code AG2 Power 6-way adjustable passenger seat, Code CJ2 Electronic Dual Zone Air conditioning ($365), a visually striking and highly versatile Code CC3 removable transparent blue tinted roof panel ($650), a Code UN0 ETR AM/FM Stereo unit with CD player and auto tine control ($100), fog lamps ($69), floor mats ($25),. A luggage shade and parcel mat ($50), and Code B84 body side moldings.

Offered from the inaugural 'C5' model year the first for Chevrolet's all-new LS1 V-8 engine, this 1997 Chevrolet Corvette is now offered from limited ownership with low miles. Ready to collect and, best of all enjoy on the open road, this 1997 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is a fabulous example, hand-picked by The Last Detail. Ready to enjoy, it can be experienced first-hand by contacting us today to schedule a viewing and test drive.

Chrysler formed his self-named automotive marque from the ashes of the Maxwell-Chalmers merger in 1923. Beginning with a 70-horsepower Six built at the former Chalmers plant in Detroit, the new Chrysler debuted at New York's Commodore Hotel in January 1924. Featuring hydraulic brakes, a tubular front axle, aluminum pistons, and full-pressure lubrication, the new Chrysler represented the best and latest thinking in automobile design at introduction a tradition that would continue throughout company history. Delivering strong performance at a medium price point, Chrysler enjoyed immediate success with 32,000 produced by the end of 1924.

In addition to their remarkable performance and durability, further attention was generated by new hill climb and speed records set by Indy legend Ralph De Palma with the new Chrysler in 1924 and 1925, establishing a stellar motorsports record that continues today. International acclaim came in 1925 when famed British record-setter Sir Malcolm Campbell hit 100 mph at Brooklands with a streamlined Chrysler. The company's first 24 Hours of Le Mans entries came in 1928, the year Chrysler acquired Dodge Brothers, with Chryslers finishing a credible 3rd and 4th in class, followed by 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at the Belgian 24-hour Grand Prix fabulous results for such a young company on its maiden outings. That enviable competition record continued in earnest with a succession of events through the early 1930s, including the debut of a Chrysler-powered entry at the 1930 Indianapolis 500. In 1931, Billy Arnold, the 1930 Indy 500 champion, set several stock-car racing records at Daytona behind the wheel of a Chrysler.

At the turn of the 1930s, Chrysler introduced the mighty Imperial Eight and continued to update and reorganize its core six-cylinder offerings. At the top end of Chrysler's model range was the 8-cylinder CG Imperial, a premium model featuring a 145-inch wheelbase chassis, ideal for a wide array of factory-built Standard Line and coach built Custom Line bodies by LeBaron. Considered one of the best-proportioned and attractive automobiles of its era, the CG Imperial's basic styling was penned by Al Leamy, the self-taught design genius responsible for Cord's L-29. As with the L-29, the CG Imperial was low and long, featuring gracefully swept fenders and a striking vee-shaped chrome radiator shell. All Chryslers had a well-deserved reputation for performance, and the CG Imperial's 385 cubic-inch "straight eight" delivered, with its robust 125 horsepower rating. A later model Chrysler Airflow overdrive transmission was installed in 2026 to accommodate today's touring and rally events! Equipped with four-point engine mounts, hydraulic brakes, well-tuned suspension, and advanced steering geometry ensured that they were refined, with a surprisingly easy and comfortable experience. Introduced in July 1931, the CG Imperial was only produced through that December, with a few completed as 1932 models. According to marque experts, 3,228 CG Imperials were produced in all.

This dashing 1931 Chrysler CG Imperial benefits handsomely from a body-off-frame restoration that was completed in 2010 and remarkably well-maintained ever since then. It is believed that this CG Imperial was originally fitted with closed coachwork and then accurately and carefully converted to its present Roadster body some 70 years ago. In the 1980s, it joined the collection of the late Thomas F. Derro, once regarded among the greatest classic auto collections in the Northeastern United States. Subsequently, it joined another esteemed prewar automobile collection and received its first body-off-frame restoration in 2005. The next owner acquired this CG Imperial, which already had a CCCA National First Prize Award to its credit, in 2007. Another restoration was commissioned in 2010, which included a paint refinish and the addition of a new convertible top, matching boot cover, and new side curtains, plus careful attention to fine details. Following this restoration, the CG Imperial earned a succession of honors, including the AACA Grand national First Prize, AACA Diamond Jubilee Award, and AACA Walter P. Chrysler Award, plus multiple Best in Class awards and numerous other accolades. Additionally, this CG Imperial served as the November photo subject for the 2012 AACA national calendar.

A study in pure "Jazz Age" glamour and grandeur, this 1931 Chrysler CG Imperial features handsome two-tone livery, complemented by the Autumn Leaf upholstery and Tan Haartz canvas folding top. A CCCA badge, numbered 0903, is affixed. Desirable and correct period accessories include dual side mounted spares with mirrors, twin Pilot Ray driving lights, a color-matched trunk rack to the rear, and a chrome stone guard to the radiator, which mounts AACA badges. A design far ahead of its time, the Airflow featured built-in headlamps and an attractively flowing "waterfall" grille up front, an extended-length hood, a modified V-shaped windshield, and sleek, fully skirted rear fenders. Passenger comfort was second to none with the Airflow's wide, comfortable seats placed inside the car's wheelbase. Extra-long leaf springs placed front and rear enhanced the Airflow's low ground clearance, delivering remarkable ease of entry and exit. Lockheed 4-wheel hydraulic brakes delivered industry-leading stopping power, while many competing marques still relied on old-fashioned mechanical brakes. Other highly desirable Airflow features included an ignition lock, full instrumentation, a brake lamp, steering-hub headlamp controls, an automatic windshield wiper, oil filter, and overdrive.

However, despite the many quantum leaps offered by the new Airflow models in terms of efficiency and passenger safety, wary Depression-era buyers failed to respond in the numbers Chrysler anticipated. Consequently, sales were underwhelming and the original Airflow design was no more after 1936. However, today's collectors deeply appreciate the many contributions made by the Airflow's designers and engineers to the automobile and the cars are now highly sought-after.

Rare as 1 of just 1,584 5-Passenger DeSoto Airflow Coupes built for the inaugural 1934 model year, this multiple award-winning body-off-frame restoration has earned multiple Best of Show awards between 2019 and 2023, including Best of Show and People's Choice at the 2019 National DeSoto Convention. Additional top-level honors from the AACA include the Senior National First Prize in 2021 and the Grand National Award in 2023.

Sporting an exceedingly handsome color combination and rich leather upholstery, this rare DeSoto Airflow also features Chrysler's robust, 100-horsepower 242 CI inline 6-cylinder engine, paired with a 3-speed manual transmission including freewheeling and very desirable overdrive. Provenance includes past ownership under former Chrysler Airflow Club president, Chuck Cochran. Accompanying documents include restoration photographs, a listing of awards earned 2019-23, and even a copy of the factory build card issued by Fiat Chrysler Historical Services. If you're seeking a rare surviving example of the revolutionary Airflow from the first model year, with the multiple award-winning restoration already done, this example is ready to show, tour, and enjoy. A somewhat roomier Grand Touring companion to the 365 GTB/4 "Daytona", the 365 GTC/4 featured sleek bodywork, styled and rendered in steel by Pininfarina, Ferrari's longstanding coachbuilder. The basic 4.4-liter DOHC V-12 engine of the 365 GTC/4 was shared with the "Daytona," but equipped with different cylinder heads, wet-sump lubrication, slightly lowered compression, and six side-draft Weber carburetors. Unlike the transaxle-equipped "Daytona," the five-speed manual gearbox of the 365 GTC/4 was conventionally mounted in unit with the engine.

Despite its Grand Touring mission in contrast to the harder-edged 365 GTB/4 "Daytona," the 365 GTC/4 offered performance closely approaching its vaunted stablemate, with 0-to-60 mph acceleration in the 6-second range and a top speed over 150 mph. Topping the Ferrari road-car line when new, the 365 GTC/4 was priced slightly higher than the "Daytona" and was very popular with Ferrari buyers. The 365 GTC/4 delivers a highly enjoyable driving experience and is regarded as "the civilized brother to the Daytona" due to its standard power steering, civilized road manners, and, quite likely, the best air-conditioning system Ferrari offered at that time. The 365 GTC/4 was produced for just two years 1971 and 1972, with as few as 500 examples manufactured in total and just 180 for the United States, according to Ferrari marque experts.

Numbered 15759 and listed in Hilary A. Raab's Ferrari Serial Numbers Part I, this 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 is a later-production, original U.S. model, produced in June 1972, delivered new to U.S. West Coast Ferrari distributor William Harrah's Modern Classic Motors of Reno, Nevada, and sold new in California. Finished in its factory-specified Rosso (Red) paint over Black leather upholstery, 15759 is complemented by a Black dash and matching console, with Red carpeting. The vehicle was selectively restored as required, including one high-quality repaint that was applied by the late 1990s/early 2000s. When Ferrari expert Michael Sheehan inspected the vehicle in 2004, its front-seat upholstery and carpets were replaced. Completing the 365 GTC/4 is a beautiful set of five Borrani wire-spoke wheels mounting period type Michelin XWX radial tires.

A California car from new until it was purchased by the current owner circa 2000, this 365 GTC/4 migrated to Florida and then Arizona briefly in 2004 before returning to California. Under the current owner, it has been a treasured long-term part of his private collection, carefully kept in climate-controlled storage. Painstaking maintenance has been performed, virtually regardless of cost, including rebuilding of the engine and gearbox, installation of a new clutch, flywheel resurfacing, rebuilding of the differential, restoration of the driveshaft, correct cadmium plating of numerous parts, and installation of a new steering box. Other work included rebuilding the starter and alternator, cooling and air conditioning maintenance, installation of cadmium-plated braided oil lines, installation of a complete new exhaust system, including jet-coated exhaust manifolds. All six Weber carburetors were rebuilt, and new ignition wires were fitted. Other items included installation of new engine mounts and a new battery, wheel alignment, and the many miscellaneous items that set this 365 GTC/4 apart from the rest.

In Ferrari Club of America (FCA) judging, 15759 was shown at the Monterey, California International Ferrari Concours, where it earned the Coppa Bella Macchina and Platino (Platinum) awards. Offered with only an approximate 35,100 miles of use and accompanied by its factory-issued books/manuals, this outstanding 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 is rare, beautiful, and ready to be enjoyed and appreciated by a discerning new owner. The 220 featured the return of the inline six-cylinder engine, which displaced 2.2 litres, hence where the "220" namesake would come from, and provided an ample 80 horsepower. Styling shared similar queues to that of the prewar 170, through the headlamps were now fully enclosed in the front fenders. The modern front end was longer and interior furnishings were more lavish. The inline-six was mated to a column-shifted synchronized four-speed manual gearbox which helped provide a fun driving experience. The 220 was offered in two different cabriolet options, the sporty Cabriolet A and the stylish Cabriolet B which offered comfortable seating for four. With undeniable style and plenty of performance to meet the public needs, the 220 marked Mercedes-Benz-s return to the market after World War II by offering luxury for the whole family while still providing the level of performance that resonates with the Mercedes-Benz badge.

A stunning example draped in exquisite colors; this 1952 Mercedes-Benz 220 Cabriolet A is one of the finer examples extant. According to the accompanying factory data card copy, this 220 Cabriolet A was delivered new in blue over light gray leather to a dealer in Hamburg, Germany in April of 1952. Believed to have lived the majority of its life in Germany, it as treated to a concours-level restoration in 2020 by Arther Bechtel Classic Motors in Boblingen, Germany. Known for restoring noted Mercedes models and just a short distance from the Mercedes-Benz's Sindelfingen plant, it was the perfect pairing.

Once completed, this example was subsequently imported to the United States in the summer of 2020 as it was acquired by noted collector Gene Ponder, a welcomed addition to his impressive collection. Retaining its numbers-matching inline-six engine and elegant Sindelfingen body, this Mercedes was finished in the superb color combination of 542G Dark Red over medium red leather upholstery. A new matching medium red soft top and color matched wheels were fitted at the same time. Well-equipped with various factory features, items include a Becker Solitude radio, VDO instrumentation, Bosch headlamps, and charming three-piece luggage set.

Most recently, this Mercedes-Benz's extensive and thorough restoration was greatly admired and awarded just last month as it achieved a class award at The 2026 Ameila Concours. Wonderfully kept and maintained since its extensive concours level restoration by marque experts, it presents its next owner a unique opportunity to acquire a 220 Cabriolet A that is ready to be driven onto a plethora of show fields where it will surely garner further awards and captivate onlookers.

Design was led by Bruno Sacco, who was also responsible for the iconic Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedans of the 1970s. Somewhat larger and rounder than its predecessors, the new SL was based upon a steel unibody and featured a more luxurious, yet driver-focused interior. Faster than ever before with V-8 power, the new SL also delivered more predictable handling and safety features extending to the most minute detail.

As expected, Mercedes-Benz constantly refined and updated the R107, which remained in production for nearly 20 years in five variants. Powered by a 5.6-liter V-8 developing 227 rated horsepower and 279 pounds-feet of torque, the 1985-89 560SL was the ultimate expression. As always, Mercedes-Benz SL ownership, particularly in reference to the 560 SL, clearly signified that one had indeed "arrived," and this high-end image continues unchanged today.

Resplendent in its Diamond Blue paint finish over Royal Blue leather upholstery, this 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL is an original U.S.-specification example with instruments calibrated in Miles, built during November 1987. Among its desirable features and options are automatic climate control, a Becker Grand Prix radio with power antenna, a rear spoiler delete option, Code 524 Paint Preservation, Dark Blue convertible top fabric, heated outside mirrors with the right-side mirror electrically operated, right and left-side sun visors with illuminated vanity mirrors, and heat-insulated glass all around.

The 560 SL was purchased new on January 18, 1988, by a couple residing in Bradenton, Florida, who retained the vehicle there until June 2012, when the current owner acquired it. The car was shipped directly to the marque experts at Knauz Mercedes-Benz, where it was inspected by them, and 19,727 miles were documented upon arrival. As offered, the car has travelled just 23,600 miles. Accompanied by copious service records and a clean Carfax vehicle-history report, this hand-selected Mercedes-Benz icon has been recently and fully inspected, serviced as required, and detailed, rendering it ready for its next collector to enjoy. As early as 1951, however, MG enthusiasts received a foretaste of the car that would become the MG A when George Phillips drove a sleek rebodied MG TD at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. A road version of Phillips' car was proposed to BMC brass in 1952 as a replacement for the old-fashioned MG TD, but initially rejected in favor of the planned production of the Austin-Healey 100. MG had even gone as far as building a full prototype of the MG A using TD running gear, a 1250 XPAG 4-cylinder engine, redesigned chassis, and new bodywork. By 1955, it was evident that the aging MG TF was overdue for replacement, with the MG A quickly introduced.

Before the official launch of the MG A in 1955, three aluminum-bodied prototype cars contested the 24 Hours of Le Mans and were quite successful, finishing the race fifth and sixth in class. As a result, when the MG A was launched shortly afterwards, the car already possessed an international racing pedigree, helping ensure the modern new model's immediate acceptance among MG traditionalists. The initial 1,500 cc engine specification was succeeded by an upsized 1,600 unit by 1959, featuring a useful power bump from 68 to 80 factory-rated horsepower and new Lockheed disc brakes up front. MG A production continued through 1962 until the advent of the all-new MG B.

Finished in striking Red paint over a Black-upholstered cockpit, this 1960 MG A 1600 Mk I Roadster features a mechanically fit 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine, paired with an updated 5-speed manual gearbox unlocking further speed potential plus cruising ease. Mechanical features include an upgraded radiator, stainless exhaust and chrome wire-spoke wheels. Desirable accessories include a grille guard/badge bar, twin driving lamps and a pair of fender-mounted chrome mirrors. The racy MG cockpit is very nicely outfitted with a striking wood grain dash and Moto-Lita style steering wheel with triple spokes and wood rim, plus an updated digital AM/FM CD stereo head unit.

Long renowned for its sporty driving experience and startling open-air performance, the MG A remains one of the most beloved of all British roadsters of the postwar era and a true racing icon. Quickly, the streamlined MGA gathered a loyal following among marque enthusiasts. In the spring of 1958, the MGA Twin-Cam arrived, significantly raising performance and keeping MG in the thick of international races and rallies. Delivering nearly 40 horsepower more than the standard 1,500 cc MGA, the larger-displacement 1,582cc Twin Cam specification provided a performance leap, harnessed by new Dunlop four-wheel disc brakes and sturdy disc-type knock-off wheels. According to published figures, 2,111 MGA Twin-Cam coupes and roadsters were built until early 1960, and it remains one of the most coveted and satisfying British sports cars of the glorious postwar era.

This example, numbered YD3/2405, is a late-production, original left-hand drive MGA Twin Cam Roadster, factory-equipped with centre lock disc-type wheels and four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes. Other interesting items included an optional front sway bar and heater delete. According to its accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, it was built during the 20th and 21st of July 1959 and dispatched from the factory to the United States on July 22, 1959.

The current owner, an MGA expert and owner of multiple examples, acquired YD3/2405 in 2003 as a compelling Wisconsin "barn find" from the prior owner, who had placed the car into storage after graduation from the University of Wisconsin and before his relocation to Salt Lake City in 1974. Following this MGA Twin Cam Roadster's thrilling rediscovery, it received a total restoration, including expert final metalwork, careful preparation, and paint, by noted Wisconsin craftsman John Reimer, whose work has graced entries to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. While originally finished in Old English White over Black upholstery, the MGA was repainted Grey by the prior owner, and as restored, the car sports beautifully appropriate British Racing Green paintwork.

The complete interior was supplied by Heritage Upholstery of Palm Springs, California, including the Dark Green carpets and Biscuit seats and panels smartly accented by Green piping. Every mechanical system and component was restored, refinished, or replaced with correct equivalents during the restoration, and all vital components are matching numbers, duly recorded on a sheet accompanying the rare Twin-Cam MGA. Truly, the restoration was a long-term labor of love, reflected in the vehicle's outstanding presentation as it is now offered for purchase.

In addition to the correct auxiliary hand-starter crank, this British sporting icon includes a matching spare tire with a correct cover and retaining clamp, plus a roadside jack, toolkit, and original tool roll. Documents include the aforementioned BMIHT Certificate, confirming original data, the list of matching numbers components, a copy of the bill of sale to the current owner, and their detailed account of the car's provenance, rediscovery and purchase, and exacting long-term restoration. Yet another automotive great offered from The Last Detail, this stellar 1960 MGA Twin-Cam Roadster awaits its next owner, who will have the rare opportunity to add to its rich history. While competitors like the GTO were flashier, the 442 was marketed as the "thinking man's muscle car."

It's more sophisticated than a GTO of the same year but just as fast and also notable for the L69 option (tri-carbureted) being phased out in favor of the single four-barrel, and the introduction of better safety features like the energy-absorbing steering column. Unlike many of its contemporaries that struggled in corners, the 442 featured heavy-duty springs, specialized shocks, and a rear stabilizer bar as standard equipment, giving it superior road manners. The 1967 442 is highly coveted by collectors today because it was the last year of the crisp, "Coke-bottle" styling before the more rounded redesign of 1968. It remains a standout for enthusiasts who appreciate a muscle car that offers a sophisticated interior and a smoother ride without sacrificing sub-15-second quarter-mile times.

Incredible paint, interior, chrome, engine & chassis detail, one of the best 67s available, carefully selected by The Last Detail.
