(1875-1950).rrA large showroom display bronze signed Charles Sykes Number 61, mounted on a circular, turned marble plinth and set on a swept bronze stand. rThe original edition of 8 showroom bronzes were cast in 1911, the year Sykes designed the Spirit of Ecstasy and were all allocated to principle Rolls-Royce showrooms in London, Paris, New York and other cities. In or circa 1930, possibly to mark the Silver Jubilee of the company, Rolls-Royce commissioned a second edition, of which this bronze is a particularly fine example. Approximately 26" x 15".
